○参加内容

オークランドと福岡間の交流を深める一環として、両都市から高校生が一人ずつ参加し、オ ンライン上で交流の場を設ける試みです。 リラックスした雰囲気の中、互いに今直接尋ねてみたいこと、話してみたいことについて会 話を弾ませて相互理解を深めることが目的です。 福岡に興味のあるアメリカの高校生に、あなた自身の視点から見える日本のことや、福岡の ことを共有できる国際交流の良い機会です。

このオンライン交流は、Oakland Fukuoka Sister City Association, 福岡USオークランド友好協会(FOFA), 福岡市姉妹都市委員会の共催によるイベントです。

※応募多数の場合、申込期限前に締め切らせていただくことがあります。

○募集人数

1名（高校生の方を対象とします） （応募多数の場合は志望動機などを参考に厳正に選考させていただきます）

○参加場所 

全てオンライン上（zoomなどのビデオ会話）

○参加期間 

春休み中（オークランド側と打ち合わせののち日時決定予定）

○応募資格・注意事項

● 福岡市内に在住または市内の学校に通う高校生で、国際交流・姉妹都市間の市民交流 活動に興味と関心と熱意に意欲のある方。

● 英語力は問いません。（必要に応じて、FOFAメンバーが日英通訳サポートに入ります。 日本語・英語以外の言語が第一言語の方は、英語通訳が可能な人とご一緒に参加し ていただきます。）

● 日本人学生、外国人留学生、 過去に福岡市姉妹都市委員会主催の英語弁論大会で 入賞し姉妹都市へ派遣された方、全て歓迎します。

● 様々な文化背景、アイデンティティーを持つ方と互いを尊重して意思疎通を図りたい方。 ● ビデオ会議参加やメール確認が可能なインターネット・機材環境をお持ちの方。

● 保護者の了解が得られている方。

○その他

● 主催者は、個人情報の重要性を認識し、個人情報の保護に関する法律及び関連法令等を遵 守し、個人情報を取り扱います。

● 主催者は、参加者へのサービス向上を目的として、関連情報の通知、アンケート、次回展覧会 の案内、その他の郵趣イベントの開催などについて、収集した個人情報を利用することがあり ます。

○Overview

As international travel continues to be difficult due to the pandemic, Oakland Fukuoka Sister City Association (OFSCA) and Fukuoka Oakland Friendship Association (FOFA) invite YOU this spring to Oakland-Fukuoka Sister City Online Youth Exchange. The aim of the program is to develop and broaden interactions and mutual understanding between the youth residents of Fukuoka and Oakland. Are you a high school student living in Fukuoka City? Are you attending a high school in Fukuoka City? Don’t miss this chance to chat with a high school student from Oakland, California and get to know what it’s like to live and study in the USA! This is also a great opportunity for you to share your perspective on what it’s like to live and study in Japan. Both Japanese and International students are welcome.

This online exchange is co-hosted by the Oakland Fukuoka Sister City Association, Fukuoka Oakland Friendship Association (FOFA), and the Fukuoka City Sister City Committee.

○Who you are

● Interested in international cultural exchange and grassroot exchanges between sister cities

● Motivated to communicate and deepen understanding with people with diverse cultural backgrounds and identities

● A high school student aged 16 ~ 18 (Both Japanese and International students are welcome)

● Living in Fukuoka City OR Attending a high school in Fukuoka City

● All levels of English Conversational skills welcome (If necessary, FOFA members can provide English-Japanese interpretive support. For the rest of the languages, please find someone you trust who can support you as an interpreter)

● Past winners of English Speech Contest hosted by the Fukuoka City Sister City Committee are welcome.

● Must have access to internet connected devices that support video calls.

● Must have permission to participate from a parent or a legal guardian.
